Partner Communities Implementation

Building a custom partner portal to allow self-service uploading of sales and royalty reports from partners.  This allowed our client to “do more with less”, especially during COVID.

In the legacy business process, the client was emailed spreadsheet reports from 700+ partners that needed to be manually data-loaded into Salesforce on a monthly basis.

Project Details

We recently implemented Partner Communities for a client.  Their business model included many distributors and reseller partners.  These partners needed access to upload spreadsheets of sales reports, inventory, deal registration, credit approvals, and other complex business processes.

We created custom Lightning screens that could be accessed securely via a Salesforce Partner Experience (formerly known as the Communities product).

 

At a glance, partners could see the status of all contracts and payments on the Account page.
If a sales spreadsheet is uploaded with a bad value, the system requests a correction on the spot.
The system can also provide warnings and suggestions as needed.
